Senior System Administrator · Backup & Recovery
Protect, keep available and evolve the systems of a hybrid, distributed environment, as part of the IT team.
What you'll do
- Operate and evolve the global backup, recovery and archiving infrastructure across hybrid setups.
- Monitor backup execution, analyse incidents and recover data when needed.
- Define and manage data retention, compliance and protection policies.
- Plan and document disaster recovery tests, with documentation for stakeholders.
- Administer servers: deployments, updates and system hardening.
- Administer the VMware environment and create virtual systems.
- Implement Active Directory tiering and harden Windows and Linux.
- Secure the backup environments and non-domain-joined systems.
- Support datacenter operations, collaborating on monitoring and patching.
Must have
- More than 7 years of experience in system administration.
- Extensive backup and recovery experience in hybrid, distributed environments.
- Background in critical infrastructure and data protection.
- Active Directory tiering and environment hardening.
- Windows and Linux hardening.
- Experience in high-security environments.
- Fluent English.
- SQL Server in complex environments
Nice to have
- IT vocational training or a Computer Science degree.
- German.
